Best oat latte I've had in a while. Very friendly cafe with lots of regulars, all greeted by name as they entered.
Fabulous atmosphere in this intimate coffee shop. Wonderful interaction from the owner/barista. Coffee was good and the chocolate tart was amazing.
25/5/22 Back today after being OS for a couple of months and Ernest & Ernesto is still a lovely place to relax, enjoy a fab Doppio plus the excellent conversation. I am home! Even indulged in a scrumptious carrot cake. 3/3/22-1/4/22 Ernest and Ernesto (unexpectedly) became a welcoming home away from home, while house (and pet) sitting in the delightful Longford. A rather enjoyable Doppio ($5.00), scrumy snacks (cookies, biscuits and cake - locally made) and of course Mr Phil, the owner/barista/raconteur. Phil has created what I dubbed, a 'salon' like experience. There is always a surprise in the decor (I sat there wondering if Phil moved things around daily to intrigue customers) and his collection of all things coffee, cigar and of course Messrs Hemingway & Guevara. I could (and often did) sit for hours chatting to Phil and my fellow 'salonistas'. Thank goodness he doesn't do cooked food (or tea!), or I would have been there from opening to closing. Undoubtedly my favourite cafe experience and with a return to Longford imminent - I'll be back!
Loved our visit and the owner barista is a real character. He named the place after Ernest Hemingway and Che Guevara whose real name was Ernesto. Do the place has a real Cuban vibe.
An unexpected highlight of our holiday! A cute little place with excellent coffee and delicious cake. I was especially grateful to the lovely man pulling coffees who made sure my daughter's babycino was the right temperature. He had some kind words for her too, and it was just a really delightful experience all round. Thank you!
Outstanding quality coffee brewed to perfection by the owner/barista and man of the world Fillip. Always an experience of the highest order.
Awesome little place to grab a perfect Brew as we passed through. The interior has you looking around the room checking everything out while you wait for your cup of coffee.
